Three Missourians die in weekend drownings

Three people have drowned in Missouri over the weekend.

Kansas City resident Gregory Tucker jumped into the Lake of the Ozarks to rescue a child who had fallen overboard. The operator of the boat was able to pull the child back into the boat but Tucker went under before she could get a floatable device or a life jacked to him.

A man from Sheldon who was baiting his trot line has drowned when his boat capsized in the Schell-Osage Wildlife Area in southwest Missouri’s St. Clair County. A friend went looking a for Jerry Ray when he did not come back to camp and found him in the water.

A mentally disabled man from Branson has drowned at the Table Rock Visitors Center. The State Water Patrol says his sister left 29-year-old Charles Cribb alone for a few minutes while she used the restroom. While she was gone, went into the lake.
