Missouri’s softball team has its newest hero.
In the eighth inning of last night’s second game of the NCAA Regional Tournament, Lindsey Ubrun smacked the fourth pitch she see saw off Iowa’s Brittany Weil over the left field wall to give the Tigers a 3-2 win in extra innings.
The third baseman’s 16th homer of the year ensured a matchup with number one seed Long Beach State at noon Saturday.
Stacy Delaney worked all eight innings for the Tigers to pick-up the win. She is now 19-3 this season.
