St. Louis native Will Franklin found an NFL home across state as the Chiefs took Franklin in the 4th round with the 105th pick.  Moments later, Martin Rucker found out that the Cleveland Browns selected him with the 112th pick.

It will be interesting to see how Rucker, who is known more for his pass catching ability more so than his blocking fits into a system that already had TE Kellen Winslow.

I think Franklin will be able to contribute right away to the Chiefs.  Outside of Dwayne Bowe, their number one pick last year, they don’t have many weapons.  The Chiefs also drafted Kevin Robinson late from Utah State.  He’s known for his special teams ability which could help their awful kick and punt return averages of last year, but Franklin could be their number two guy.

Center Adam Spieker, running back Tony Temple, and cornerback Darnell Terrell were undrafted and will now look to catch on with NFL teams as free agents.
