Mizzou junior Aaron Crow and senior Jacob Priday have been named to the 2008 Dick Howser Trophy Watch List, as announced by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA).
Crow leads the nation with nine wins on the season, heading into the Tigers’ weekend series at Texas A&M. He is 9-0 on the year with a 2.37 ERA and leads the Big 12 with 69 strikeouts.
Priday has a team-best .357 batting average and leads the Big 12 with 13 home runs. He recently broke the school records for career home runs and career RBI at Missouri.
The membership of the NCBWA will choose the Dick Howser Trophy based on three rounds of voting. The 2008 winner will be announced at the College World Series in Omaha on Saturday, June 14, at 10:00 a.m. CDT.
The Dick Howser Trophy, given in memory of the former Royals manager who led them to their only World Series title in 1985, who died of brain cancer in 1987.
