Chase Daniel Chase Daniel took control of the offense on his first possession of the spring game and cut his way through the 2 nd team defense as the Tigers drove 61 yards in seven passing plays capped with a 6 yard pass from Daniel to Maclin.  Daniel was a perfect 7 of 7.

At the end of the first half, Daniel took charge as he led the two minute offense, which by the way looks very similar to the normal offense, and drove the Tigers down the field with six straight passes capped by a touchdown pass to Jared Perry for 11 yards.

However, in between his first and last drives of the day, he was a very ordinary 8 of 15 for 75 yards with an interception, looking frustrated at times including a third and long situation when he scrambled out of the pocket, and got called for an illegal forward pass for crossing the line of scrimmage.  Daniel ripped his helmet off in disgust.  It was only a practice, but after the interception and penalty, you could see Daniel’s competitive fires lit again on that final drive of the half.

After the game, Daniel spoke about the upcoming season.
