Bale shown with his "dead" arm Royals starting pitcher John Bale is headed to the 15 day DL, and David DeJesus got hurt and needed to leave the Angels game last night early.  Bale has a dead arm, and DeJesus stubbed his toe.

Bale, who has struggled early, going 0-3 with a 7.68 ERA has complained of a tired shoulder and has been placed on the DL with what they call dead arm.  Manager Trey Hillman hopes the rest will do Bale some good.

In his place, the Royals could call up number one draft pick Luke Hochaver and he could make a start as early as Sunday in the Oakland finale.

A different story for David DeJesus. He was shagging fly balls during batting practice when he ran into the outfield wall and stubbed his big left toe.  He played in last night’s game in LA, but came out in the 4th inning.  He’s not expected to miss much time.  He was out most of the season after spraining his ankle in the season opener at Detroit.
