Royals hit hard in 11-6 loss to Seattle

April 16, 2008 By admin Leave a Comment

So much for the best ERA in baseball.  The Seattle Mariners scoring early and often to hold off the Royals 11-6. Starter John Bale lasted just three innings, giving up five runs.

The Royals were actually in this game despite Bale’s early struggles. They were tied 4-4 going into the bottom of the 4th, but the Mariners scored two in the 4th, and four in the 5th to put the game out of reach. Hideo Nomo pitched an inning of work and got charged with four earned runs.

I read this on the Royals’ website where Ichiro has had a hit in every game that he’s played agains the Royals. In 26 games, he has 49 hits.

David DeJesus returned to the lineup and had two hits.  The Royals are in LA to play the Angels.
