Tkachuk scores 500th goal

April 7, 2008 By admin Leave a Comment

photo by Greg Bartrum, listen to Tkachuk's call on www.nhl.blues.com The St. Louis Blues ended their season on a high note, despite missing the playoffs.  Veteran and Blues alternate captain Keith Tkachuk scored his 500th career NHL goal in the final game of the season at Columbus.

It was a great weekend for Tkachuk who scored two goals in Friday night’s game at home against Columbus.  In fact, after scoring two goals, two of his three children hurried downtown to St. Louis in case Tkachuk scored a hat trick.

He wanted to do it in front of the home crowd, but would have to wait one more night.  In the third period, Tkachuk scored on an empty netter to pick up his 500th goal in 1,055 NHL games.
