April 5, 2008 By admin Leave a Comment

The 4 th ranked Missouri Tigers beat Oklahoma State 3-0 last night.  Junior Aaron Crow recorded his third complete game shutout of the season and extended his scoreless inning streak to 42.2.   Crow struck out seven while walking none to improve to 7-0 on the year.

Crow has not allowed a run in Big 12 Conference play this year and has only given up four runs in 52.0 innings pitched on the season, holding a .069 ERA. His last run allowed came in his second start of the season, against Cal on Feb. 29. He has picked up the victory in each of his seven starts this year.  The shutout is the sixth of Crow’s career and is the fifth thrown by MU pitchers this season.

Missouri managed just five hits, a season low, against Oklahoma State (18-9, 4-6) on Friday.  Game two of the three-game series is Saturday at 4 p.m. The game will be broadcast by the Mizzou Sports Network and can be seen on FSN Midwest and MetroSports.
