Foxsports.com ran figures that were compiled by the Associated Press that listed the total team salaries of all 30 major league teams.  The Kansas City Royals as expected were near the bottom at 25th.  The St. Louis Cardinals ranked 11th.

Right now, the Royals at 2-0 and a $58 million payroll have more wins than the top two teams, the Yankees and Tigers (1-4) who have a combined payroll of over $348 million.
