Starting pitcher Kyle Lohse tossed 5 shutout innings, allowing only 3 hits and a walk, as the St. Louis Cardinals blanked the Florida Marlins 2-0 Thursday afternoon in the Cards’ Grapefruit League finale in Jupiter, Florida.

The Redbirds picked up the only run they would need in the 3rd inning as Chris Duncan drove in a run with a 2 out single to left. Troy Glaus gets credit for the game’s only other RBI when he walked with the bases loaded in the 5th.

The Cardinals are now headed home, with a stop in Springfield, where they’ll play a pair of games against the AA Cardinals at Hammons Field. The first game goes Friday night at 7:10, with a 1:10 matinee scheduled for Saturday.
