Cardinals President Mark Lamping resigned today ing after 13 ½ years with the organization. He is leaving to take a job to head up the new Meadowland stadium in New Jersey which will be home to the New York Giants and Jets. Bill DeWitt the III will take over as Cardinals president.
On the field, the Cardinals get some starting pitching help. They sign Kyle Lohse to a one year contract. Lohse will get $4.25 million this season. Lohse was 9-12 last year with Philadelphia and Cincinnati. Pitching coach Dave Duncan says Lohse has the talent, he just needs to see him face to face to see how soon he’ll be ready.
