The wind was blowing out to right field at 20 mph. Enough said. The Los Angeles Dodgers rapped out 20 runs on 20 hits to win 20-6. The Dodgers hit seven extra base hits including four homers, and the Cardinals committed three errors.
Starter Braden Looper took the brunt of the barrage giving up 8 runs (7 earned) on eight hits, three walks and two home runs. Looper’s ERA is 13.50. The only Cardinals pitcher to not get rough up today was Russ Springer who pitched a perfect innning. Check out this impressive Dodger’s box score .
The Cardinals hit the ball well too. Brian Barton, a rule 5 pick from the Indians went 2 for 3. He’s hitting .381 this spring as he tries to nail down one of the outfield spots. Troy Glaus went 2 for 2 with an RBI and he’s hitting .412. I think you’re going to forget about Scott Rolen real soon.
