Cardinals Lose Day Game 6-5

Mike Parisi got roughed up giving up three runs to the Nationals in the first inning (two earned) as he went three innings in the Cards 6-5 loss. 

Brian Barton who was picked up from Cleveland off the rule 5 draft went 4 for 5 with 2 RBI.  Ryan Ludwick was 3 for 4 and hit a home run.  Juan Gonzalez was 0 for 3 and left 7 runners stranded. 

Ron Villone, whose name surfaced in the Mitchell Report made his spring debut and pitched an inning allowing just one hit.
