Secretary of State Robin Carnahan  (D-MO) has certified the results of the February 5th Presidential Primary elections and three special elections for the Missouri House of Representatives.

In the Presidential Primary voting, John McCain was certified as the winner of the Republican contest, with Barack Obama winning the Democratic election.

Republican Mark Parkinson won a special election for House District 16 in St. Charles County. Republican Mary Kasten was the winner in House District 158 in Cape Girardeau. Democrat Michele Kratky, who ran unopposed in House District 65 in St. Louis, was certified the winner in that election.

More than 1.4-million Missourians cast ballots in the February 5th voting – a turnout of more than 36 percent of eligible voters.
