Franklin’s Fast Times At Combine

February 25, 2008 By admin Leave a Comment

Will Franklin The NFL Combine continued this weekend.  Quarterbacks, running backs, and wide receivers worked out yesterday.  Missouri’s Will Franklin’s official time tied for second fastest in the 40 yard dash at 4.37.

Cal receiver DeSean Jackson ran the fastest official time at 4.35.  Franklin’s time was tied with Andre Caldwell of Florida and Dexter Jackson of Appalachian State.

NFL.com’s evaluation of Franklin states that he could make an immediate impact as a number three receiver in the NFL.  The website also said, "Excellent size-speed-athleticism combination. … Possesses great hops and can use them to get the jump ball. … Can tightrope the sideline and concentrate on the catch. … Catches the ball away from body most times. … Can be physical with cornerbacks in run blocking downfield. … Willing to go over the middle and take a hit. … Nice YAC potential because he can change directions and accelerate quickly. … Called a "team player" by his coaches".
