Mizzou’s Hannah Out 4-6 Weeks

January 28, 2008 By admin Leave a Comment

The Tigers learned they’ll be without senior guard Stefhon Hannah from 4 to 6 weeks after he had his jaw broken in an altercation outside Club Athena in Columbia early Sunday morning.  Head coach Mike Anderson said Hannah had surgery on Sunday and that went well.  The University is invesitgating the matter.

Columbia police chief Don Hawkins told the Columbia Tribune that Hannah was coming out of the club, saw the disturbence and got caught in the middle of it.  Hawkins says in Hannah’s words "as he was backing out of it, he was hit in the head with an unknown object by an unknown person."  There were also 20-30 people outside the club at the time who couldn’t provide further details.
