MIAA Basketball Results

The SBU Bearcats defeated their 4th nationally-ranked team this season, by beating the #16 Pitt State Gorillas, 85-61.  With the win, SBU is 11-3 on the season and 4-1 in the MIAA.  SBU’s Matt Rogers and Jim Grabowski led the Bearcats scoring attack, with respective points of 19 and 18. Grabowski also pulled down 12 rebounds. The Bearcats hit on 13 of 21 from long range (61.9%) and 35 of 64 (54.7%) from the field.

20th ranked Northwest Missouri State continues to struggle in MIAA play falling to 2-3 in conference play after Missouri Southern comes up with the 81-77 win last night in Maryville.  With the loss, the Bearcats could fall out of the top 25 NABC rankings.
