Porter Pleads Guilty to Killing Children

January 2, 2008 By admin Leave a Comment

A guilty plea brings to an end the saga of two murdered Independence children whose bodies were found, in September, in Sugar Creek.

Daniel Porter, the children’s father, had failed to return Sam and Lindsey Porter to their mother’s custody following a visit in 2004. In September of last year, Daniel Porter – who is serving a 38-year-sentence for kidnapping – led authorities to the graves of his children.

Today, he has pleaded guilty to killing the kids. As part of a plea agreement, Porter will serve a life sentence with no possibility of parole.
