This is the day traffic gets more complicated in the St. Louis area. The State Transportation Department is shutting down a stretch of Interstate 64 – Highway 40 – for a couple of years to rebuild and expand the road.
It’s only a five-mile segment but it will change the driving patterns of thousands of motorists. The closure is the first part of a 535-million dollar project. Next year another segment will be closed for rebuilding.
