Olivette Youngster Killed in Helicopter Crash in Texas

December 30, 2007 By admin Leave a Comment

Authorities in Tarrant County, Texas, are investigating the deaths of two people – one of whom was a resident of Olivette – in the crash of a helicopter on Saturday.

9-year-old Caleb Hays and the pilot were killed when the chopper went down near Fort Worth. They were the only two occupants of the helicopter. Nobody on the ground was hurt.

Officials say the chopper crashed in open grassland. They add weather does not appear to have been a factor.
