The official announcement comes out today at 5pm, but Gary Pinkel says that Chase Daniel is a finalist for the Heisman Trophy. Florida quarterback Tim Tebow, Arkansas running back Darren McFadden, West Virginia quarterback Pat White and Hawaii quarterback Colt Brennan and Oregon quarterback Dennis Dixon other possible candidates.
Daniel will be in Orlando on Thursday where he is a finalist for the Davey O’Brien Award given to the top quarterback in college football. The Heisman Trophy presentation will be televised on Saturday at 7pm.
