The Missouri Tiger basketball team opened up a 13-3 lead in the first two and a half minutes last night against Southern University and rolled to a 95-50 win over the Jaguars.  The Tigers defense just way too much in the first half forcing 13 turnovers.  Mizzou scored 17 points in the first half off of turnovers to open up a 51-21 halftime lead.  Five Tigers scored in double figures.  DeMarre Carroll (18 pts), Keon Lawrence (14 pts), Darryl Butterfield (11 pts), Stefon Hannah (10 pts), and Matt Lawrence (10 pts).

The Tigers now play Monday night against Michigan State in the semifinals of the CBE Classic at the new Sprint Center in Kansas City.  The Spartans are ranked 12 th.
