Two juveniles have been killed in a house fire in northeast Missouri’s Monroe County.
Firefighters responded during the early morning hours only to find the house fully engulfed in flames. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Department reports that deputies from its department reponded along with firefighters from the Paris Fire Department, Madison Fire Department and the Little Dixie Fire Department. Fire personnel learned only as they fought the fire that two juveniles were inside the home. The bodies of two juveniles were found after the fire was put out.
No cause has been pinpointed. The State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the fire which began shortly before 5am. The Monroe County Coroner is conducting autopsies on the bodies.
