An 18-year Air Force veteran from Neosho has been killed in Iraq. 36-year-old Thomas Crowell was killed along with two other Americans when an improvides explosive device went off on Thursday near Balad Air Base.
Crowell, who joined the Air Force after graduating from Neosho High School in 1989, is survived by a wife and two children. Crowell was stationed at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois.
