November 2, 2007 By admin Leave a Comment

The pilot of a Missouri Air National Guard aircraft is recovering in the hospital after his plane crashed this morning near Salem in Dent County.

National Guard Captain Tammy Spicer says the Guard is pleased the pilot ejected from the plane before the crash. He’s being treated at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

The plane was one of four aircraft performing a training mission from at the Lambert Air National Guard Base in St. Louis. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
