The MAC announced it’s 2007 tournament bracket for field hockey.  The Bears are ranked sixth and will play the third seeded Miami University on Thursday at 2:30pm.  The Bears were 2-18 for the season, 1-9 in the MAC.  Senior goalkeeper Kim Kinsella leads the nation in saves per game at 10.94.

The football team will play the number one ranked Northern Iowa Panthers this Saturday.  The Panthers are the top ranked team in the Football Championship Subdivision for the third week in a row.  This is the 7th of 10 games this season the Bears will be playing a team that is ranked at the time of the game.

Missouri State senior punter/placekicker Nathan Stokes has collected the Gateway Football Conference Special Teams Player of the Week honors for his performance in last Saturday’s Bears’ win over Indiana State. It’s the second time this season Stokes has received the league honor. Stokes was perfect on all nine of his extra-point tries vs. ISU to tie a school record for most PATs kicked in a game
