Two suspects are being sought in a weekend shooting in Maryville that occurred on the campus of Northwest Missouri State University after the Homecoming football game. No one was hurt. Police believe three shots were fired in a crowd of students celebrating the Bearcats come-from-behind 28-27 win over MIAA rival Washburn that drew more than 8,000 fans to Bearcat Stadium.

The campus went into lockdown after the shooting Saturday afternoon. A room-to-room search was conducted by local police and campus security personnel. The campus has been determined safe and all normal campus activities have resumed. The lockdown has been lifted, but the campus remains at what university officials call "a high level of awareness".

Police are seeking two men described as black males with dreadlocks. They were reported to be wearing green, hooded sweatshirts when the shooting occurred.
