Testimony Completed in Montgomery Murder Trial

October 20, 2007 By admin Leave a Comment

Testimony has wrapped up in the murder trial of a Kansas woman charged with killing a pregnant Skidmore woman, cutting out the pregnant woman’s unborn child, and kidnapping the baby.

Closing arguments in the trial of Lisa Montgomery are scheduled to begin on Monday in Federal Court in Kansas City. Montgomery is accused of killing Bobbie Jo Stinnett in Skidmore and then cutting the baby from Stinnett’s womb.

Montgomery’s attorneys claim their client was mentally ill and did not understand the consequences when she committed the act in December of 2004.
