Pembroke Hill claimed a record fifth straight title in Class 1 girls golf Monday and Tuesday at Island Green Golf Course in Republic, holding off Visitation Academy, Kirksville and Trenton in the team race, while Savannah sophomore Kate Gallagher took top individual honors. In Class 2 at Silo Ridge in Bolivar, Noter Dame de Sion, also of Kansas City, earned its sixth overall golf championship with a four-stroke margin over first-round leader Kickapoo with Helias and Ursuline Academy rounding out the top four teams. Parkway West senior Catherine Dolan won the individual flight, while Francis Howell Central’s Mabrie Cain was runner-up and earned her fourth state golf medal.
