The Kirkwood man accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting two eastern Missouri boys has pleaded guilty, in Franklin County, to one of the kidnappings and will enter a guilty plea, on Tuesday, to a kidnapping in Washington County.

41-year-old Michael Devlin has been sentenced to life in prison for kidnapping and 20 additional years for armed criminal action in the abduction of Ben Ownby of Beaufort in January. Ownby was found four days later in Devlin’s apartment. Also in that apartment was Shawn Hornbeck, who had been missing since October of 2002. Devlin will plead guilty, Tuesday, to kidnapping Hornbeck from near the boy’s home in Richwoods. He is expected to be handed another life sentence in that case.

The guilty pleas are the result of an agreement entered into by Devlin with law enforcement officials.
