Cardinals Finish The Season On A Roll

October 1, 2007 By admin Leave a Comment

The last road trip summed up the Cardinals season…fighting until the end.  Despite having nothing to play for, the Cards completed a sweep of the Pittsburgh Pirates and finish the season with a five game winning streak, with a 6-5 win on Sunday.

Skip Schumaker, 5 for 5 with 2 RBI.  Tony LaRussa stays mum on his future.  Big questions about whether or not World Series MVP David Eckstein will be around next year.  Cards finish the season 78-84.
