Three dead … seven injured … in a traffic crash in St. Louis.
Police have talked to a motorist who says a station wagon went past him at about 75 miles an hour just a few blocks before it smashed into a tractor-trailer that was turning left in front of the car. The impact was so severe that the engine was torn out of the station wagon.
