Milwaukee pitcher Jeff Suppan goes 3-0 against his former team and he was backed with plenty of offense as the Cardinals fall to the Brewers 9-1.

Cards starter, Braden Looper falls to 12-12 on the year, gave up seven runs in five innings. Kip Wells mopped up the mess as manager Tony LaRussa went with just two pitchers last night.  His bullpen is finally showing signs of wear and tear.  Four relievers have been unavailable in recent days due to illness or injury.

The Brewers hit four home runs on the night including two from Prince Fielder to now give him 50 on the year.  Rickie Weeks and Bill Hall added the other long balls.  Fielder becomes the youngest player in MLB history to hit 50 HRs.  The Brewers have hit a league high 225 this year.   They are now two games out of first place in the NL Central.
