Central Missouri used a solid defensive effort Saturday afternoon to post a 27-7 win over the Truman State Bulldogs.   The Mules limited the Bulldogs to only 160 yards of total offense in the game, and UCM outscored TSU 20-0 in the fourth quarter.  Glenn Milner rushed for 109 yards and scored three touchdowns for the Mules.  Both teams are now 2-1 on the season.

In front of a record breaking crowd of 9,007 at Spratt Stadium the Bearcats from NW Missouri opened up a 21-0 lead in the first quarter as they rolled to a 44-20 victory over the Missouri Western Griffons. The Griffons fall to 2-1 overall and 0-1 in the MIAA and the Bearcats improve to 1-1 on the year and 0-1 in the MIAA.

Alley Broussard ran for 173 yards and four touchdowns, but the Missouri Southern football team lost a heartbreaker tonight, falling 31-28 to sixth ranked Pittsburg State in front of more than 9,000 fans at Hughes Stadium in the tenth annual US Cellular Miner’s Bowl.
