Grieving Mother Coping With Tough Times

September 14, 2007 By admin Leave a Comment

Tina Porter says it’s been a long journey and it’s not over yet. She’s the mother of the two children whose remains were found in a shallow grave in eastern Jackson County. They’d been missing for three years.

She says she’s grateful for the support she’s received. She says she has visited the informal shrine set up near the site where the remains were found. She says she hopes to read the all of the cards that people have left for her.

The Kansas City Star reports the father of the children, Daniel Porter, led officers to the graves to avoid being put in with the general population at the prison where he’s being held.
