Missouri College Kickers Win Special Teams Awards

Marcelo Velazquez, a sophomore kicker from Blue Springs, Mo., was one point away from equalling the MIAA single-game kick scoring record in the Mules’ 56-21 win over Concordia-St. Paul  He was 4-of-4 on field goals, and was 6-of-6 on point-after kicks.  He is the MIAA special teams player of the week.

Missouri State kicker Nathan Stokes was named Gateway Football Conference special teams player of the week as well, with a record tying 15 points with three field goals and six extra points in the Bears big 51-44 win over UT Martin.
