A Kansas State Representative is questioning whether a Missouri law violates the United States Constitution.

Representative Kenny Wilk is asking the Kansas Attorney General for an opinion on whether a Missouri law that increases income taxes on Kansans working in Missouri passes constitutional muster.

Governor Matt Blunt (R-MO) and Missouri House Speaker Rod Jetton (R-Marble Hill) have said they support repeal of the provision. It could be taken up during the next regular session of the General Assembly that begins in January.
