A young St. Louis man has been charged with manslaughter in the death of a 2-year-old girl struck and killed by a car while the girl was crossing the street in the arms of her grandfather.

Authorities charge 26-year-old Derrick Green with being under the influence of marijuana and running a red light before running the couple down.  2-year-old Aryanna Coleman of Jefferson City and her 60-year-old grandfather, Ronald Jones, died from their injuries. The car didn’t stop.

Police say a video from a Metro bus in the area caught a glimpse of the car.
