Investigators say the death of a seven-month old child in a closed car in St. Louis is a tragic mistake.
Police say the child’s mother placed the girl in the car on the way to a meeting and called her husband to tell him to pick up the car. He did not realize she had placed the child in the vehicle. and did not immediately go to the car.
The child was in the car for about three hours before passersby broke a window to get her out but she was already dead.
