The State Health Department has told Attorney General Jay Nixon (D-MO) it does not want him representing the Department in the Planned Parenthood lawsuit against the newest state anti-abortion law.
State Health Director Jane Drummond says she does not trust Nixon because he is pro-choice and has taken donations from Planned Parenthood. The Department adds this is a conflict of interest.
Drummond says the Department has hired two private lawyers who will work for free. The two lawyers are affiliated with a religious conservative group that opposes abortion.
