Albert Pujols and Ryan Ludwick belted home runs to pace the St. Louis Cardinals to a 5-2 come-from-behind victory over the Florida Marlins Tuesday night at Busch Stadium.

The Fish led 2-0 until the 6 th inning when Pujols blasted his 29 th homer of the season, homering for the fourth straight game. Ludwick slammed his 11 th with 1 on as part of a four-run 8 th inning for the Redbirds.

St. Louis starter Adam Wainwright pitched 6 innings, allowing 2 earned runs on 9 hits. He was not involved in the decision. Troy Percival (3-0) picked up the win out of the bullpen, surrendering only 1 hit in an inning of work. Jason Isringhausen came on to pitch the 9 th to earn his 24 th save. Armando Benitez (2-8) blew a save opportunity for the Marlins and took the loss.

The Cardinals (60-62) and the Marlins (56-70) play again Wednesday night at Busch Stadium. Braden Looper (10-2) goes to the mound for the Cards against Florida’s Scott Olsen (9-10).

The Cardinals are 3 games behind Chicago and Milwaukee in the National League Central Division standings.
