Damon Huard did not practice Monday. He has a chronic sore calf that has been bothering him all summer, and was on the sidelines with it wrapped and hobbling around. Depending on the severity of the injury that could have a big outcome in how coach Herm Edwards decides if Huard can even compete for the starting job with Brody Croyle. Edwards has planned to start Croyle and possibly play him into the third quarter of Thursday’s game against the Saints.
