Mulder Back In Time For The September Push?

August 17, 2007 By admin Leave a Comment

Cardinals pitching coach Dave Duncan thinks Mark Mulder’s first Minor League rehabilitation start went well last night and Mulder could join the big league team as early as the start of September.

Mulder threw 40 pitches, 24 for strikes and 16 for balls, for Class A Palm Beach on Thursday night. He was touched for four runs on three hits, but only one run was earned thanks to a throwing error by Mulder himself.

Mulder was hitting 90-91 on the radar with his fastball.  An extra arm could be key down the stretch in September.
