The outgoing Democratic Leader in the Missouri House – who happens to be running for Attorney General – says he is the "true blue" Democrat, and is not worried about the defection of Senator Chris Koster (D-Harrisonville) – who also happens to be running for Attorney General – from the Republican to Democratic Party.
Representative Jeff Harris (D-Columbia), says his campaigning won’t change because of a defection he views with skepticism. Harris says Koster, as a legislator, has embraced just about every piece of Republican legislation that was opposed by Democrats.
Harris contrasts this with what he calls his own record of fighting for the ideals of the Democratic Party.
Harris says he had expected to face Republican Chris Koster in the general election … but will now have to face Republican Chris Koster in the Democratic Primary.
