Governor Receives Three Choices for Supreme Court Vacancy

July 26, 2007 By admin Leave a Comment

Governor Matt Blunt has his choice of three people to be a new judge of the State Supreme Court. A special commission that winnows applicants for judgeships down to a field of three has recommended three state appeals court judges from which to choose.

One is Judge Nanette Baker, who’s on the Appeals Court for Eastern Missouri. Another is Judge Patricia Breckenridge, who is on the Appeals Court from Western Missouri. The third is Judge Donald Holliger, who also is from the Appeals Court from Western Missouri.

The Governor has two months to make his choice.

If he doesn’t do it, the judicial commission that made the nominees will make the choice.
