A rural Joplin man is charged with offering $100 to kill the aunt and uncle of his ex-wife. A charge of conspiracy to commit murder has been filed against Thomas Kemp.
The man Kemp is accused of trying to hire went to police, saying Kemp had given him the rifle to use. The Newton County Sheriff’s Department says it recorded a conversation between Kemp and the supposed hit man in which Kemp gave the man a $20 down payment.
