Decision Expected Soon in Murder Charges Against Pre-Teen

July 11, 2007 By admin Leave a Comment

A judge in St. Louis could decide soon if a 12-year old boy will become one of the youngest Missourians ever charged as an adult with murder. The boy is being held by juvenile authorities now. He’s accused of stabbing a 13-year old girl last week.

The judge will decide today if the boy should stay in juvenile custody. No date has been set yet for a hearing on whether he should be considered an adult in facing the charge.

Missouri has no law setting a minimum age for persons charged with certain crimes to be tried as adults.
