One of southwest Missouri’s oldest tourist attractions has re-opened, a little different, a little smaller, with a slightly newer name.

The Exotic Animal Paradise near Strafford was sold last year to developers who planned on a 465-acre golf range and an upscale housing community. But the new owners have reduced the housing development in size, leaving 288 acres for what is now the Animal Paradise and Family Fun Park.

Owners say they have about 200 animals representing about 40 species.
