A tough loss for the St. Louis Cardinals and for starter Anthony Reyes as the New York Mets win a 2-0, 6 inning rain shortened pitcher’s duel Wednesday night at Shea Stadium in New York.

Reyes (0-10) gave up only 2 hits, but one of them was a two-run homer smacked by David Wright, his 13 th home run of the year.

A pitcher really can’t do much better than what Reyes did, but Mets’ starter and winning pitcher Tom Glavine (7-5) did. He gave up only 1 hit in 6 innings of work as he captured career win number 397.

The Cardinals (34-41) and the Mets (43-33) wrap up their four game series Thursday night at Shea Stadium. Anthony Wainwright (6-6) takes the mound for the Redbirds against Orlando Hernandez (3-3).
